WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

See below for all the information you need. What apps you need to download and how they work, how we collect fees and how we will communicate fixtures and game day updates.

GYMCATCH

GymCatch is our booking and fee collection service application. It allows us to schedule sessions, collect fees in a multitude of ways and also link to our relevant social pages. You will need to create a free account and add a payment method. Once you are setup, you will then have full access to our calendar and will be able to book in to any session you see. See the video tutorial on the left for how to get setup with GymCatch.

HOOPS HQ

HoopsHQ is Basketball Englands digital licencing platform. It has a built in league function where you can check your teams fixtures, follow stats live and obtain the correct licences to allow you to participate. All players are required to have his application on their mobile devices and be logged in to show their players licence. Parents can also have the application and sign up for a supporter account, but please note this is a REQUIREMENT to be able to compete on our league teams.

WHATSAPP

WhatsApp is a global communications app that allows members to use their mobile phone number to create a digital messaging profile and join groups. Using WhatsApp allows us to get information out instantly should it be needed, and also chase up issues relating to payments, gameday attendance and aid members. Whilst not a perfect solution, it does provide a communal space for the parents within a specific team to talk, collaborate, organise car shares as well as field questions to each other should they have any issues.

DISCORD - COMING SOON!!

Discord is a community communication management application where we are able to add automated moderation as well as unify the multiple group chats we held previously. Discord allows us to keep all the members together in one place, host digital/online events away from the basketball court (think game analysis) and also provide club and team specific updates all in one place, without having to navigate between different group chats and having queries sent to multiple people. As we grow to multiple venues and more teams, we will need a single place for information to be accessible, and Discord gives us the best platform to do this that allows you all to interact.
